STRONGBACK

Sailboat Kits Strongback

Two Building Strongbacks are shown in the below drawing. The smaller of the two at the bottom is for the keel. The keel is built separate from the main hull, and attached to the hull as one unit. While the deck house and hull framing are set up as a unit onto the Main Strongback.

These Strongbacks are constructed of common lumber, but can be constructed of the material of your choice. The important part is the dimension spacing between transverse frames.
